Joe Mecia

Joe was a graduate of Los Altos High School (1960) Stanford University (1964) and Hastings College of Law (1967). He was a former attorney with BHP-Utah Minerals in San Francisco and had served as a public defender in Santa Clara County. He was a gifted musician voracious reader enthusiastic traveler and fine-food connoisseur blessed with a quick wit and a generous heart. Joe is survived by his three children: Tony Mecia of Charlotte NC; Tori Mecia of Pacifica and Mike Mecia of Livermore; his two sisters Francesca Krauel of San Diego and Torie Thacher of Pacific Grove; one granddaughter four nieces a nephew and many other loving relatives and friends.
