Joseph Anthony Mecia, Stanford University 1964, of Pacifica, Calif.,
June 29, at 60, of cancer. He was a political science major and a
member of Phi Gamma Delta. After earning a degree from Hastings College
of Law, he was an attorney with BHP-Utah Minerals and served as a
public defender in Santa Clara County.
